    Hi guys,

Quick question about featured images. I’m trying to write all my blog posts with an ‘optimum’ size featured image for each. However, I’ve noticed that when I view my homepage on my mobile, the featured image is cropped.

For example, if you go to my homepage (jamesdevonshire.com) and look at my last post (The Interview) you’ll see that it displays okay. That image is 1024×768. It also displays fine on a mobile.

Before this image I had used an image that was 840×400 (2.1:1)but when viewed on a mobile, the ‘I’ and ‘W’ of Interview were cut off.

So… what size images should I be using for my featured posts.

    Thanks in advance,
    James

    James,

Okay I see what you mean. The 2.1:1 ratio fits at desktop widths, but it is not consistent across smaller widths.

I will fix this discrepancy in the next update. The Featured Images will then maintain a 2.1:1 ratio at all screen sizes.

Okay, I’ll wait for it be fixed in an update 🙂
