Whenever I update a post, the existing featured image is removed.

This occurs only when NextGen Gallery is active; it does not happen when I deactivate the plugin.

None of my featured images are images in NextGen galleries; they are chosen from images in the Media Library.

And this happens on posts whether or not they contain a NextGen gallery.

I notice that if after updating a post (and losing the featured image) if I click on “Set Featured Image” in the post sidebar, the correct image is pre-selected in the media library, so there must still be some connection between the post and the image attachment.

    Here’s a screencast: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18w-SgLvk7MD9XNdBz4C5wTXBbL6piZNG/view?usp=sharing

    What is going on?

    Hi @denis24,

We are sorry to hear of the problem. We had similar reports in the past and these are usually related with a plugin or theme conflicting with NextGen Gallery.

Feel free to submit an issue report at https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/ and one of our support representatives will be happy to help.
