Do you have a link to your site where the images are larger? I just tested on my local install with the theme and the thumbnails match up with the size in the demo for me.

Try using the Hueman Dynamic Tabs widget instead of Hueman Posts and it should display the smaller thumbnails.

You can also inspect your pages and write some css rules in the custom css setting of the live customizer.
