    Hello,

There is no feature for that built into the plugin.

I’m not familiar enough with the other plugin to guide you on using one of its filters but the CTC field would be _ctc_sermon_video.

I’ll note this as a possible new feature to consider but so far I have not had other requests so it would be very low priority. Feel free to submit a pull request on GitHub if you end up coding something custom for yourself.

Thanks Steven, I may take a look at doing that if I get a chance.

Actually, I was able to find another plugin that handled this for us, although it’d still be a really nice feature to have built in.

For those that might find it helpful, this plugin works well to handle the featured image automatically:

In the settings, add the ‘sermons’ type to those post types that will be processed and also mention the custom field (_ctc_sermon_video) in the configuration. Going forward, if you update/save a sermon and have not manually set a featured image, it will pull it from the youtube link provided. Another really nice feature is that the plugin has a “bulk update” capability as well. This will let it scan all existing sermons and pull the image in without you having to do each one manually. A word of caution: this does take some time depending on how many sermons you have already. I’d suggest setting the plugin to ONLY handle sermon posts before doing a bulk scan and then resetting to anything else you’d like supported after the scan completes.

Thank you for sharing the plugin and how you use it. It sounds really great!
