Featured image overlay

Hello,

I have a quick question. Is it possible to add image source overlay to featured image? If it is supported, I assume then there is compatibility problems with theme?

Other features are working fine, but I would like to add sources directly to my images as overlay, but couldn’t find anywhere if that is supported.
