• When I’m editing a post (WP install 5.5.3), my Featured Image panel no longer shows the “Replace Image” button. There’s a little “×” in the upper right of the image, but it does nothing in Safari, Chrome, or Firefox. This is a recent development. This is the URL that appears when I hover over the ×:

    [mysite]/wp-admin/post.php?post=6847&action=edit&wd_fb_og_status=-2&wd_fb_og_error=Facebook+returned%3A+%28%23100%29+Must+have+a+valid+access+token+or+a+valid+url_hmac#

I’ve deactivated both of my social/open graph-related plugins, and that × is still showing up. I don’t know what an “access token” is, or what may have changed such that I can no longer edit my featured images. Google has shed zero light on this situation.

    Any ideas?

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
