Featured Image Sizing?

    Hi,
    I’m having trouble with getting featured images on posts to look nice and clean. In one instance, I have a 1666 x 1666 image file as a featured image, it is centered and scaled perfectly to maintain its circular shape (image is circular).

    In another instance, I have a 500 x 500 image file. It is expanded to fill the feature image bar, and cropped top and bottom.

    I’m trying to get square, centered feature images and am happy to adjust my image file to match the featured image height…but I don’t know how to find it!

    Please help. What is the featured image dimensions? Thanks,
