Thank you. With a little luck, a bunch of help and a little more time, I should have it ready before we leave for Nationals on Wednesday.
I have shared using the social share function in the theme, but also by sharing the page link in FB. I get the same result either way with the team page, however the player roster page does pick up the featured image if I post with the word press sharing feature in the theme or when directly adding the link in facebook.
I believe I listed the link for the player page incorrectly in my last request post.
This is the page that works….

Hummm, sorry I don’t know a lot about the social media share function in the THEME. Have you asked them? But …
1. It looks to me that your first post points to the same page as “working” and “not working” when sharing (??)
2. URLs are URLs. They either resolve to a page or they do not. The URL you provided
http://pilipaa.com/player/nani-spaar/?roster_type=custom_title=false
is mal-formed. Not sure why but it should look more like
http://pilipaa.com/player/nani-spaar/?roster_type=custom&title=false
Not sure if the plugin has a bug that’s causing this, or some of the data is wrong.
