I’m setting up my blog entries page for my website and I found that the Featured Image thumbnails aren’t showing up. I checked the HTML source and noticed that the references to the images are blank.
As you can see here, the featured image shows <img src alt=”….. so no source is given.
Do you know what could be causing that?
The featured image shows up fine on the blog post and if I use the Last Blog Entries block on a page, they also show up fine. It’s only on the Blog Entries page that this happens, and it happens for all entries:
It seems that this problem has arisen in your hosting.
Please get in touch with your hosting provider for more information about these errors: https://postimg.cc/yW8rX0jz.
Yep… apparently I had a Mautic installation that got a bit wonky and started to mess with the backend. I’ve deleted the whole matic install along with the plugins, database etc and gave the site a nice cache refresh.
I managed to get rid of the alert, however the image src attribute is still blank and thus, still no pictures.
First, ensure all posts have a featured image in the backend, then for troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let me know the results:
0. Enable the primary theme(if you are using a child theme).
1. Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugins.
2. Deactivate all plugins.
3. Then, first, activate the Ocean Extra plugin.
4. Check your issue.
5. Then, activate your plugins one by one
6. After activation of any plugins, check your issue
Note 1: You can try troubleshooting on the staging website/or on a fresh installation.
Note 2: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes.
It’s Jetpack. As soon as I activated it, the images were broken again. I don’t even know if I want Jetpack… Is it necessary? I had Jetpack, Jetpack CRM, Jetpack Boost and Jetpack Protect and have since disabled them. Should I troubleshoot them or is there a better alternative out there? I really just had them because they came bundled on my WordPress installation.
I recommend contacting your third-party plugin author or asking your host provider about it – the person who added these plugins to your site.
Maybe they have a solution that we are not aware of.
