Hi – At this time, featured pets are only supported in Widgets so your theme would need to display a widget where you want your Featured pets to show on your homepage. WordPress’ latest advancements are making widgets obsolete so your theme probably doesn’t have a way to display widgets on your homepage. Are you working with a developer who can pull a widget into your homepage template? That would be the fastest way to display featured pets on your homepage using the Petfinder Listings plugin.
Thank you, the theme we are using still supports widgets, but when using PetPoint our featured list only shows 9 pets. when I add via your plugin it shows all pets not the featured ones. Does this make sense? Am I missing a switch? Thank you

Can you send me your shelter ID and petfinder ID of a pet you want to feature? I’ll see what happens on my test site. You are using the “Petfinder_Listings_Featured_Pet: : Featured Pet” Widget? That should only display one pet – either random if no Pet ID entered, or from the Pet ID.
Correct – widget shows only one pet. Use the shortcode to display all your pets. Shortcode looks like: [shelter_list animal=”cat” count=10 page=1] — Is your site using Blocks (Gutenberg) or Classic Editor?
You are correct, it is only showing one featured pet using your widget. We have multiple pets identified as featured so we would like to see all of them. Shelter id IL326,
Ah, then you’ll want to add multiple of the “Petfinder_Listings_Featured_Pet: : Featured Pet” widgets to the widget area. You’ll probably need to do a little CSS to display them in a row. You can also hide the h2.widget-title with CSS so you don’t have extra titles above each one.
I have already done what you suggested, its just not matching up with the existing “live” list we have using custom code with PetFinder.
