Featured video is not a WordPress standard feature. You must have some plugin or theme that supports featured video. Without knowing how you are making this happen I can’t help much.

Thanks so much Wayne for prompt response. You are right, I am using the plugin ‘Featured Video plus’ whcih allows a featured video to be added using youtube embed. An image is automatically created from the Featured video and stored as Featured image.
I found Postie an incredibly useful tool for getting content added from my not so technical team using simple email. Many thanks for creating this.
When we add video content from youtube, there is no picture created with the post. This is where ‘Featured Video plus’ comes quite handy. However it needs youtube url to be manually added, which I was hoping could be possible through Postie.
I believe this sort of feature might be useful for lot of people as you can not only add a new video post using email but also automatically add an image from the video.
Warm Regards,
Yogesh
Wayne, I have the same problem.
I have a wordpress site with a “featured video” field
and I need to mail in posts that are Youtube videos.
The Featured Video makes a thumbnail for me
Have you had any luck getting this going?
@superxtarblog are you also using ‘Featured Video plus’?
No, not that I know of.
I am using a THEME called NewsMag.
I have not seen a plugin called FEATURED VIDEO PLUS
but the functionality sounds identical.

Unfortunately each theme/plugin does this a different way. So adding this would require custom code specific to NewsMag.
