Thank you very much for having stepped in vpiwigo shoes and made this plugin usable again.
Before you did, I had made a few improvements on my own copy, and had to update the new version in order no to loose the features I’ve added.

Would you consider adding the following features to the plugin:

1. In PiwigoPress_widget.php:
– put the picture name in the alt tag of each picture, so it doesn’t remain blank
– suppress the target=_blank (or make it optional) for each picture; it is not very appropriate when the blog and the gallery are parts of the same website and, unless I’m mistaken, it is now generally considered as ‘bad practice’ not to let the choice of another tab/window to the visitor.

2. In piwigopress.php:
– make it possible to display the category name

I also made another modification in order to be able to square-crop non-thumbnail pictures, but I don’t think this could be considered as a general purpose feature.

thanks for your suggestion. I think that should be easy. The quickest way is if you send me a pull request on github ( https://github.com/norbusan/piwigopress ) or a diff.

And a “diff” … do you mean something like “change this at line number x” ?

Another future request
-possibility to put a code before and after photo’s in the widgets (e.g.
). This way it’s more easy to make rows of photos or a slider using Jquery.

Hi Jeroen,

well, you could get the following three file: PiwigoPress_options.php PiwigoPress_widget.php piwigopress.php by downloading them from the links, and put them into your piwigopress folder.

But BEFORE doing this make a backup of the three original files to be able to go back in case of problems!!

I think with 2.27 all the requests have been honored, besides very local adaptions (square thumbs).

I’m closing this thread, please open another one or an issue on github if there are further feature requests.
