The plugin struggles with url structure when the category slug is removed. I would recommend going over to the Publisher Center and resetting your urls in this format – it should work well:
https://www.leafie.co.uk/?feed=gn&category_name=news

So that’s worked to a fashion, but it doesn’t seem to be parsing the content by category, instead, it’s just submitting all articles, even if I change the category name in the URL parameters.
Are there some other parameters I could use perhaps?
I’m getting different results… or perhaps I misunderstand you, but for example, if I do: https://www.leafie.co.uk/?feed=gn&category_name=culture I get results from the culture section,

No idea why but when I originally followed the link you suggested it had some parameters for amp. Removed that and all working fine now. Thanks again!
