Feedback embed – take out link

    Hi

    I’m currently using the embed function from your website on our wordpress site, but can download the plugin if it’s easier to achieve the following with that.

    The ebay feedback looks great on the page, however there are active product links displayed which link to other ebay seller’s similar products (since our products have been sold already, hence the feedback..). On ebay these aren’t active links. Is there any way to just list the product within the feedback without it being a link at all? i.e. remove the active link.

    Hi doulou,

    Thanks for reaching out and making me aware of this. Looking in to it, eBay have made a change their end with how links to ended items work. I agree that this is not the expected behaviour and should be remedied.

    I am on vacation at the moment, but will look into a fix for this when I get back. For now I have put together a quick demo of how to deactivate the links using CSS. I have coloured them red, but you can obviously adjust this to suit your needs.

    Just to update on this issue – I am actively looking in to the ended item redirection, however the redirection seems to be different for different users, so I do not want to implement a fix until I am confident it will work for everyone.

    I will update this thread as and when.

    I have released a fix for this, so Your eBay Feedback links should no longer redirect to a similar item. No update is required, but you may need to clear your browser cache in order to see the change.

    However eBay have implemented a few changes recently surrounding item redirection, so there is a chance that for some users this may still occur. Please let me know if this is the case.
