    I’m completely new to editing layouts like this, so I would love to get some feedback about my new site at http://violetsforfurs.net

    It’s not quite finished yet as I need some kind of header & graphics. But I’d like to make sure that it doesn’t completely suck before I continue.

    It doesn’t completely suck.

    I think it would be better if the sidemenu was on the same height as the main part is.
    The brown used as a background colo(u)r isn’t as vivid as all the rest and makes it somewhat dull. Since you’re a MS wannabe, compare to how fresh http://www.marthastewart.com/ looks.

    So I think it looks ok, with some small modifications. But that’s just me.

    One big tip …

    Go with a lighter background color.
    I think this will improve the look tremendously.

    Asside from the background, it’s prety good 🙂 if you want something vlean and fresh (which is what I’m guessing you’re going for) try something a little off white. Plain white will look to empty. go for a nice light blue (but not neon, please. lol) Overall, nice presentation 🙂
