FeedWordPress, two authors with the same name

    Hello! I use FeedWordPress to syndicate different blogs on my blog. Two of the blogs that I syndicate have the same author– “Blog Updates”. Thus, posts from both blogs show up on the “Blog Updates” author page. Any ideas on how to separate these two authors which both have the same name? Thanks!

    I can think of a few solutions.

    You can map authors per blog, this means you can assign a different author to one of the blogs and make separation of this. Depends how you depend on automatic mapping rules. I.e. you can make one feed link to a fully different author or as the author-by-author mapping rules allow to assign this update author to a different name.

    Another possibility is to assign these updates to different categories and make a distinction on basis of that.

    Thank you! I think that you are right– the solution lies in the users or authors screen. And I think that you can change a person’s nickname even though you cannot change their username. Thanks again!
