feedy importing into wrong category
-
i am testing out feedzy before buying premium service but i have a serious probem. for some reason some of the feeds are being impored into the wrong category and then causing a redirect into another category. can you let me know what is happening
-
Hey @websitefix,
Thank you for using Feedzy!
Can you please share more details about this inconvenience? Some screenshots with the configuration of the feed, as well as the feed URL, might be very useful.
Thank you for your cooperation!
here is an example
THe feed should be putting it in liverpool news, but instead is putting it into lifestyle news, and then my rankmath plugin in is automatically putting it in the right category which is causing negative seo for me and has seen my site drop from 11500 impressions to 1,900 impressions. it has had a bad effect on the site. I was looking at buying five pro version for new news sites that i am setting up around the world, but i need to overcome this problem.
the above feed is coming into that category but then it redirects to https://www.in2town.co.uk/liverpool-news/coronation-street-spoilers-as-steve-catches-tracy-and-tommy-together/
Hey @websitefix,
Thank you for sharing the details!
Can you provide some more details, please?
- is this issue related too the new version of the plugin? since when it started to happen?
- can you share some screenshots of how the import is configured?
- feed URL might also be helpful
how do i supply you with the image
Hi @websitefix,
You can use any online screenshot tool of your preference and paste the image URLs here, or use the default screenshot tool of your operating system and directly add the images in the comment.
I am sharing the images now
these images are for feed categories. not sure what else to share with you
if you look at this link, it is coming through on my google webmaster console as this https://www.in2town.co.uk/lifestyle-news/nairn-date-added-to-public-consultations-over-ssen-power-line-plans/ and then it is being redirected to https://www.in2town.co.uk/inverness-news/nairn-date-added-to-public-consultations-over-ssen-power-line-plans/
This is casuing serious problems for my site. I now have over 10,000 redirections on my site due to the plugin. really need your help on this
Hey @websitefix,
Unfortunately, I was not able to replicate this issue.
This might be happening because of a plugin conflict. Can you try deactivating all the plugins and see if the issue persists?
If the answer is no, try activating them one by one and see which one is causing the issue. Then, try to find an alternative for it.
Let us know how it goes!
what do you mean Unfortunately, I was not able to replicate this issue.
any why since posting the information has all the feeds now vanished. have you been in my site and deleted them all
Hey @websitefix,
I apologize for any inconvenience you are experiencing.
I have tried replicating the issue on my website, but everything worked as expected on my end. This is why we needed some explicit steps that could help us replicate the problem.
I could not access your website, because you didn’t provide any credentials (and it is not recommended).
To make things easier, can you please share more details about the configuration you made?
The feed categories panel allows you to categorize more feed URLs under the same category, so that you can easily use it in the import wizard.
However, it doesn’t impact the post taxonomy set inside the import. That is a separate field where you should insert on of WP categories previously created for posts.
I saw you are also using another plugin that assigns a primary taxonomy.
In this regards, I kindly asked you to deactivate all the plugins except for Feedzy and see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it’s a plugin conflict.
Let me know your thoughts!
