On our website: http://www.thismerrymontessori.com the pictures will load and show up one day and then on the next day not show up. This is also true when drafting a new post. I can see the pictures that I want posted in the draft screen, but not in the preview screen. This is also an issue that will occur one day and then not the next. There doesn’t appear to be a rhyme or reason for the loading of the images to work or not to work. Any help is greatly appreciated! This page was not loading properly at 11:00 AM when I checked: http://www.thismerrymontessori.com/?p=265 however, when I checked at 1:30 PM, the pictures did load. My wife and I are getting frustrated with the lack of consistency. Is there something that we can do to ensure that our pictures load properly every time?

  • Looked at the page I notice the images are being served from http://i1.wp.com/www.thismerrymontessori.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_0719.jpg?resize=768%2C689

Is your blog perhaps a wordpress.com blog? If not, it could be whatever this i1.wp.com middle man is causing issues. Using a special image plugin or something?

    Mark,

    Thanks for looking!

I do not know what the i1.wp.com is.

We upload our pictures to the media library, then insert the pictures into the blog. We don’t use a special plugin for pictures, just the media library.

I posted the same support forum to wordpress.com and they told me that we have a ww.wp.xz.cn account. I think we do have a ww.wp.xz.cn account because of jetpack on our dashboard. I have login capabilities for both wordpress.com and ww.wp.xz.cn, but for different sites.

Thoughts on how to get rid of the i1.wp.com? On how to have the pictures consistently be pulling from the media library?

After @markrh mentioned the i1.wp.com stuff, I did some more digging and I found this thread: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/images-broken-i1wpcom-prefix-is-being-appended

Their solution was to deactivate Photon in Jetpack.

Trying and seeing it will work.

    Thank you @zoobobby
