That’s strange. I just confirmed that the field does show up with WooCommerce Version 2.3.9 (and 2.3.8) and the latest version of this plugin (1.2.4).
I see you have the latest WP, but which version of WooCommerce are you on.
To troubleshoot, please tell me what appears on your Products -> Inventory page under the option “Stock Display Format”. Our option, “Maximum Quantity Limit Per Product” should appear right under that.
CORRECTION:
Apologies. I just noticed that you say the field doesn’t show up in the Inventory section of “a” product.
The field only shows up in the WooCommerce main settings, on the “Products” tab, then click the “Inventory” section. The setting applies to all products. It’s not found in each individual product.
