field separator

I’m on a mac using open office. My imports kept failing but that was due to the formatting of the CSV file.

This may differ per program, but
take the original file and “Save as” a csv but rename it so you know it’s new.
In the Save As dialog box, tick “edit filter settings” at the bottom of the dialog box.
on the next screen, make sure to
choose a comma as the field delimeter,
tick the box to “Quote all text cells”.
