Field validation pattern?

Is it possible, either in the free or the Pro version, to specify a validation pattern for fields?

For example, I have a field that I would like to have the user enter a code in the format of 4 numbers, hyphen, 4 numbers, hyphen, 4 numbers – eg, 1234-5678-9012.

I have seen other plugins, Custom Content Type Manager being one, that allows you to enter ####-####-#### to specify this (ie, # = a number) or to use GREP.
