Ok. So I give up. I cannot believe I am fighting almost 3 hours already with fonts. I want to change font on my website. I download google fonts. I am watching many tutorials. But I just cannot find the proper CSS to use. I even download “Firebug Lite” for my Google Chrome and also “WhatFont”. I try many CSS codes and nothing is working. Could you please tell what the hell I am doing wrong? I am trying to identify CSS for Menu font and also for font I am using to write all information about the website. Honestly, 3 hours. I give up. Please help. Thank you so much.

I recommend first installing a font plugin like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/easy-google-fonts/

Let us know how you get on with that

I got that one. That wasnt the issue. I could find the “CSS” code to use it. I dont know how to call it. But I have to inspect the code and I couldnt find it.

Which font are you trying to use? I can help write that CSS for you or explore why that font is not working.

I am looking for this Arial font in my posts and Libre Franklin in Menu.

Your Libre font is working in the Menu.

Your posts however have ‘Happy Monkey’ as the font family and this is coming from CSS inside an option of the plugin I’ve recommend – which I think you should be able to deselect from the plugin options somewhere.

“Designérské, dekoratérské a interiérové studio.” is Happy Monkey. I set it up with that Google Font plugin. But I have issue with the other one. Arial.

    Menu font:

I was following this tutorial and I didnt succeed with Menu and Arial part.

I’m afraid I don’t have enough time to watch that tutorial. Can you list through the steps of what you were trying instead?

Also I’m not sure I understand – you intentionally added Happy Monkey for posts, but also want it changed to Arial. Can you clarify what you mean?

I needed to find in the code something to write here to be able to change the font with Google Font plugin.

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_2_02_55_PM

So for that I download Google Chrome plugin “Firebug Lite” and examine CSS code. I couldnt find anything I would use there.

Looks like you fixed this now.

Look at this screen please. Here you can see what is Happy Monkey and What is Arial. Happy Monkey I could change as a default setting of Google Font plugin, but the other didnt worked so I have to examine the CSS code and add it to previous screen to be able to change it.

Are you saying the post font is still not arial?

    Thread Starter lisid

    (@lisid)

Please play this tutorial from 20:15 and you will immediately know what I ment. I am sorry its really hard for me to explain this.

    Thread Starter lisid

    (@lisid)

I am going to try to explain this one more time. I downloaded Easy Google Fonts with that I was able to use Default Typography on the website.

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_2_57_25_PM

So basically I could change only “CASA FABRIC”, “Designérské, dekoratérské a interiérové studio.” and name of the pages “O NAS”, “SLUZBY”, “NABIZIME”. Nothing else I wasnt able to change with this Default Typography function. So I checked many tutorials, where they was showing me how to setup Custom Typography. All tutorials was saying the same think. To go on my website and use “WhatFont” to find out which Font it is. So I use the app for example on the Menu part of the website.

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_3_05_04_PM

I found out, that the font I am looking for is “Libre Franklin”. Next step was to inspect the code and find some mentions of this font name and copy CSS part of the code. For example in the tutorial he found “.site-title“. I use the Chrome plugin “Firebug Lite” to inspect my code and look for “Libre Franklin”.

I found two mentioning of “Libre Franklin” in the CSS part of the code.

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_3_08_36_PM

    and

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_3_08_48_PM

Not even one of those codes I could use. Same problem I got when I was looking for other fonts for example “Aria”.

If I found it, I would go to the Settings > Google Fonts > Create Font Control. For example I will use what the dude showed in the tutorials “.site-title“.

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_3_13_03_PM

After that I will be able to setup Custom Typography on my website.

    Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_3_15_26_PM

It took me a while to wrote all this. I hope somebody can help me and teach me. I want to know what I am doing wrong. I started with WP yesterday so dont hate me.

Thank you so much for your help people.

I recommend asking about this over at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/easy-google-fonts so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
