Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you please share with us a direct link to the download file?
Hello,
That link redirected me to the home page. I presume that is the download link generated by our plugin? In that case, please share the file URL set inside this download which the user eventually will get.
Hello,
As the file is placed outside the folder created by us, you will need to use the “Redirect To File” option for that download. This setting is available when you edit any download from the “Downloads” menu.
Please note doing this will redirect the user to the file and it will directly open in their browser (in most cases). This is a less secure method and if you want the file to download and to prevent direct access, then upload it using our plugin.
I hope that answers your query. Let us know if you have any further questions.
I gave this a shot, tried migrating the file into the plugin directory via FTP, as well as uploading files directly into the individual download pages.
Still no luck. Are you sure it’s not my HTACCESS rules?
<files wp-config.php>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</files>
<files ~ “^.*\.([Hh][Tt][Aa])”>
order allow,deny
deny from all
satisfy all
</files>
Thanks for your help!
