Is there a way to exclude certain files from being flagged by the File Change?

I get notices of changes to files that *should* periodically change. i.e. .log files, the spamblacklist.txt in the WP Simple Firewall plugin, the Wordfence /tmp/configCache.php, etc.

Can this be done in the .htninja file?

    PS… as an aside…
I see that the .htninja.sample file comes with a number of “pre-installed” commands that are samples. Do you recommend commenting out the ones not in use or is it fine leaving the unconfigured samples as is?

Thanks for the great plugin! I have a number of sites on a shared server and using Ninjafirewall on them has greatly reduced my server load!

    Hi,

When you create the snapshot, you can whitelist files and folders:
    1. Go to “File Check”
    2. If you already have a snapshot, delete it.
    3. You can create a new one and add your exclusion list in the “Exclude the following files/folders” input field. There is already NinjaFirewall log/cache folder (/wp-content/nfwlog/). Multiple values have to be comma-separated.

If you use the .htninja file, you must remove the current instructions, because they are only samples.

    Sorry for the late response!

Do I need to include the entire path? From /wp-content/….? Just the folder name?

    Thanks!

You can use the folder name only, or a part of it, or any substring.
    For instance:

    -/wp-content/nfwlog/
    -/wp-content/
    -nfwlog/
    -content
    -log/
    -tent/nfw

    etc..
