File/Full Backup No Longer Includes Database
-
My file backups no longer include the database. This is happening on all the many sites that I run Updraft on. The file backups use to include the database. Did a setting change?

What is set in your settings? Can you post a screenshot? And assuming database backups are set to run, can you post a log file at pastebin.com from a backup and then post the link here?
Thank you. Can you also paste a screenshot of your “Backup / Restore” tab?
Also – if you install the free plugin “WP Crontrol” (in the WP plugins directory), and go to the list of scheduled tasks in the “Tools” menu of the WP admin dashboard, can you list the tasks that are there? At least the ones with “updraft” in the name?
One thing you can try is reconfiguring the database backup to be on a different schedule, then save settings, then configured it back to daily, then save again, then look at the list of scheduled tasks again.

Tried your suggestion and the list of tasks is the same as above.
Hi,
Can you try clicking on the “Rescan remote storage” link to refresh the backup list. Do you still get the same list of backups?
Thanks,
BryleA rescan of remote storage produced the same list of backups. I checked the remote storage folder and there only database backups in the folder are the database backups I run daily.
This isn’t just happening on this site all the sites I backup are not including a database backup with the files backup – which they all use to do. It is a puzzlement.
Can you create a zip file with *all* log files found in the directory wp-content/updraft in your WP install (i.e. all files whose names begin with
log.– no others), and share a link to that (e.g. upload at wetransfer.com) ?David
By the way, there’s no problem evident in your screenshots that you’ve posted – they are consistent with your settings. The “database” backup from Aug 28th would have been deleted after 2 further daily database backups were made in subsequent days, since your settings say to only keep 2 database backups. It’d be useful to see the screenshot of your Backup/Restore tab again now that another Sunday has passed, before another 2 database backups are done (though it may be too late for that already).
Updated Screenshot With Manual Full Backup
Hmm… made a mistake when I reset the database backup back to weekly and didn’t set the number to keep at 5. That is the number I keep on other sites.
So I don’t know if this is a help but I did a manual full backup and attached a screenshot. That backup is included in the file log.
The file backups use to look like the attached screenshot with the database.
Is there a new setting I am missing that would produce that when I am setting up the files backup?
Should I expect that the file backups should include the database now – maybe your program has changed and I am just chasing after something that doesn’t an option anymore.
If that is case, what order would I restore – files first or database?

Hi,
If the number of databases to keep is set to “2”, and you have a daily database backup, then only the last 2 days’ database backups will be available. If you want to make sure that you have a database from the same time as the files backup which is only weekly, then you should set it to at least “7”.
But yes, you can restore from a mixed set, that’s not a problem. When doing so, restore the database last.

Thank you for all your help! I will increase the weekly backups to 7 and follow the order you recommended if I ever need to do a restore of a site. I am good to go unless you have anything else you want to share.
