File version field would be nice

    This plugin looks promising and may solve an issue I have.

    However there’s one feature that would be a huge benefit (for me at least) – the ability to have an extra custom meta field associated with each attachment, as well as title, caption and description. It could go in the meta box.

    The example I have in mind is a field for “version”, so that one post could have a number of versions of the same document, and the user enters a number in the version field when adding each attachment. Some custom code in the loop could then retrieve the versions.

    I know I could do it using the caption field but to have something actually called “Version” would be nicer for my users!

    I am currently rebuilding the plugin to make it easier to maintain and that is a feature I have already incorporated into the rebuild. Not sure when it will be released it is pretty close to feature parity plus some so hopefully in the next few weeks.
