When I activate Fileaway on my WordPress 4.0 multisite setup, I get the following error when navigation on my website.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /data/sites/web/devpelckmansbe/www/secundaironderwijs/taaltijdschriften/wp-content/plugins/file-away/lib/cls/class.fileaway_utility.php:1) in /data/sites/web/devpelckmansbe/www/secundaironderwijs/taaltijdschriften/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1173

Is this version compatible with multisite environments? I already get the error when networkactivating the plugin.

    What version of File Away?

All right, here’s the deal. There is nothing wrong with the code. The file is corrupted. There’s three ways to fix:

    1. Uninstall File Away and download it again. Fixed.
    2. Download it from here, and replace file-away/lib/cls/fileaway_utility.php on your server with the same file from your download.
    3. Open up the file on your server. Copy and paste it exactly into a new document. Delete the original. Save the new document with the same name as the original.

The code is fine. The file itself is corrupted. It’s a headache.

I downloaded the plugin again and reïnnstalled it. The problem is fixed. Thanks!

How can I prevent the file from getting corrupted or isn’t any action required on my behalf?

It’s not your fault. I’m trying to figure out why it happened. I think it has something to do with the way I updated that specific file on the repository last time. From now on I’ll update it a different way, and it shouldn’t be a problem again (according to my theory). But I will also be sure to check for this issue every time I update as well. So you won’t have to worry about it.
