    I am curious, is there a setting/shortcode to display the filename as is? I noticed that the filenames are always upper and lowercase depending on a dash or space in the filename:

    Fedora-20-i386-DVD.iso
    turns into:
    Fedora 20 I386 DVD

    My preference would be to disable the string modification of the filename via some shortcode/setting.

    Thanks!

  • I suggest – if possible – a possibility to manage the “showed name”. It can be very convenient for french users as we cannot put special characters in file names but we use a lot of special characters.

    You can put special characters in filenames, Li-An. See this: http://imgur.com/tCTs7uM. I renamed these files using File Away Manager Mode and a standard international keyboard.

    So I have to activate member management – but it makes sense. I will make a try.

    I don’t know what member management is.

    manager=”on” 🙂 I’m a very approximative guy…

    Ah, haha. Yes, and remember if you use manager=”on” to rename your files, the new filenames will update the old filenames in your statistics database automatically.

    And I finally DID find your translation. It was in my spam folder, but I forward [email protected] to my personal address, so since it was spam, it didn’t get forwarded to my personal spam folder, which is the one I checked. 🙂

    French translation added to the repository. Thank you!

    Hmm, I have a number of new files that are automatic uploads to my server. Renaming them manually during these uploads would be quite tedious. So just to be clear there is no option to display the filename as is on the server?

    I was responding to Li-An, not to your question. Renaming the files won’t address your issue because it will just prettify your renamed files on page load. I will add an option to disable prettification in the next release.

    Sorry this has taken so long. Other projects (the kind that support my family) got in the way. 🙂

    Coming out tonight in version 3.8.

    Many thanks!! I never anticipate mods to be done quickly when it is free work, this is a hobby I understand. 🙂 Looking forward to it.
