The user and password that you use for your WordPress admin is only for the WordPress admin. FTP typically uses the same credentials as your host control panel. You can also use the File Manager of your host control panel, if it’s one of those that doesn’t automatically create a FTP account for you.
Thank you Joy. The problem is my Username and Password were saved on my computer and now that I can’t access my admin page to automatically login I can’t get in. Is there anyway to contact WordPress directly to have them send me a password recovery/reset?
Thanks
WordPress does not host your site, nor is it involved with it at all. Please contact your host, 1and1, for help obtaining your FTP password.

It sounds as if you didn’t understand what I said.
The WordPress admin credentials have no relationship with the FTP credentials. The FTP credentials are typically the same as your host control panel though.
There is no “contact WordPress directly” to send a password for FTP. Your site’s copy of WordPress only knows about your site’s credentials for the WordPress admin. Those aren’t anywhere else. And there is a recovery link on the login page, but if your site is failing because of a plugin, you still need to fix that using the credentials for your host control panel.
