• Hi,

I have found a bug in the Fill in Blanks option for Learnpress.
Learnpress: 4.1.6.2 – although this bug has been present in previous versions.
    Wordpress: 5.9.2
    PHP: 7.4.25

Initial creation of a quiz with fill in blanks questions works ok for users taking the quiz.

If a new ‘Fill in Blanks’ question is created with the Add New button on the ‘Edit Questions’ page and saved then this breaks the quiz that was working. Now, when a user types the right answer it is flagged as wrong.

Note: the new question does not have to be added to the quiz to cause the problem.
Also: Adding a question breaks all ‘Fill in blanks’ questions in ALL courses on the same site.

I’ve noticed some other effects as well. Editing a ‘Fill in blanks’ question and setting the ‘Option’ for the word to be filled to ‘Any’ rather than ‘Equal’ will temporarily repair the problem. For big question banks this takes a long time.
But – as soon as you add a new question all ‘Fill Blanks’ questions on the site are broken again.

I have checked this on a few different sites and with various themes, including standard WordPress and the behaviour is the same.

    Does anyone have an idea?

I’m happy to provide any other details if required

    Thanks

    R

    Hi,

When do you think this will be fixed? I’ve seen quite a few updates over the last weeks but this problem is still unresolved.

    Thanks
