    Hi !

Is it possible in Tablepress 2.0 to filter by columns via the shortcode like we could do in Tablepress 1.0 ?

It doesn’t seem to work on my page.

    Thank you.

    Hi @blodarn,

    thanks for your question!

As you are using the Server-side Processing, the only frontend filtering for this would be with text inputs, but not with dropdowns (because would already need all the possible values in the frontend). For the text inputs, you could use the “Individual Column Filtering” module.

Or do you mean a different kind of filtering here?

If you want, we can of course also continue discussing this via our existing email conversation.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hi Tobias ! I thought of asking this question via our discussion through email but perhaps some people will have the same question/problem as me with Tablepress 2.0 about the shortcodes.

    I use Server-side Processing.

On one of my website, Tablepress 1.0 was updated to the 2.0 version (not the premium version) and everything still works with add-ons :

    TablePress Extension: DataTables Buttons
    TablePress Extension: DataTables ColumnFilterWidgets
    TablePress Extension: DataTables Counter Column
    TablePress Extension: DataTables Sorting plugins
TablePress Extension: Parse Shortcodes before Formulas
    TablePress Extension: Responsive Tables
    TablePress Extension: Row Filtering
TablePress Extension: Single Cell Content Shortcode
    TablePress Extension: Table Row Order

On the other website (tablepress 2.0 premium & no add-ons), I wanted to implement the same principle for the column filters but I cannot make it work :

    [table id=7 filter=”F&&Senior” filter_columns=”4,15″ filter_case_sensitive=true datatables_paginate_entries=10 /]

Do I need to install the add-on Row filtering for this to work or is their another way ?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

thanks for the explanation. So this is a question regarding the Row Filtering module, on the site with the TablePress Premium Extension, right?

(We should then actually be discussing this via email, as I’m not really allowed to provide support for the Premium versions here in the forums, by the forum guidelines.)

On the site with the Premium version, you will not need the old Extension. Instead, can you please check if the Row Filtering module is active on the “Modules” screen? Is that Shortcode that you posted working with a smaller table that does not use Server-side Processing? Normally, these are compatible, so we should again try to investigate this step by step.

    Regards,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
