Filter Don't Work if Use with Custom Fields Post

I’m designing a site with Advance Custom Fields integration. I used the custom image field so I could upload book covers for the specified post.
For my footer, I’m using Ultimate Post with a custom template that pulled the image’s custom field so that I can feature a specific book. Unfortunately, while this works fine, I noted that on the specified post, the widget will automatically pull up info for that post and complete ignored the filter.
This also happens in categories as well.
