• Hi,
Firstly, fantastic plugin. Complete life saver.

Everything seems to be working perfectly apart from the filter groups.
I can add new groups at Plugin Orginizer Filter Groups but those groups aren’t displaying on the plugin screen and i’m unable to create new groups by ticking plugins from the list and selecting Create New Group from the drop down menu.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Darrell

Filter groups are a taxonomy to organize your plugin filters. Plugin groups are to group your plugins so you can apply the whole group to a post. Do you see a drop down labeled “Groups” next to the bulk actions drop down? To add a plugin to a group you select the check box for the plugin you want and select add to group in the bulk actions menu. Then select the group you want to add it to in the Groups drop down. Then click apply.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the fast response.

Maybe i have something setup incorrectly on my site or there’s a conflict of some kind.
I have the bulk action drop downs with the options added by the plugin but they aren’t
working, selecting a check box and add to groupapply doesn’t seem to do anything on my site the page just refreshes. Also moving the plugins to change the load order and selecting save plugin load order doesn’t seem to work either. Activating and deactivating plugins from the global list and on any post or page works perfectly.

Have you had anyone else report the same issue?

Someone made a support request for something similar but they never responded after I asked some questions and that was a few months ago. Do you see any javascript errors? This is all done through javascript so if there is an error you wouldn’t see the groups drop down or be able to submit the load order. It shouldn’t just refresh the page. It should do an ajax hit, pop up a message, and then refresh. Are you using a theme on your admin?

And again I ask questions and get no response 3 weeks later. I can’t solve the problem if I don’t know whats happening. I haven’t experienced this on any of my sites.

    Hi Jeff,

I’ve now had a change to try out the settings fully and the only setting the doesn’t seem to work for me is the save load order feature.
I’ve tried dragging a couple of plugins around and selecting save load order from the drop down, but it doesn’t take.

I’ve got a couple of questions about some features which i’m trying to get my head around.

    1. When on a page or post admin screen which setting takes priority for Enabling/Disabling plugins on that page/post, Individual toggles for that page or the group toggles underneath?

    2. Not quiet sure what the difference is between disabling Admin Area’s in the “selective plugin loading” box on the settings page and creating a plugin filter for the admin url and selecting to also effect all children.
The plugins really slow down my admin pages, what i’d like to do is be able to access the settings without them slowing the admin pages each time the page refreshes.
Maybe understanding the effect of the two methods would help me find a balance, or maybe i’m hoping for too much 🙂

None of the functionality will work for you on the plugins page because the javascript isn’t executing that puts the controls into the page. Are you getting a javascript error on that page?

    1. The individual plugin toggles take priority.
    2. In order for a plugin filter to work that has an admin url you have to enable admin areas under selective plugin loading. If that setting is disabled then the Plugin Organizer MU plugin never executes if you are in the admin so nothing will be disabled.
