• Hi, your plugin is excellent
I work with Divi and Woocommerce
on category pages, would it be possible for your plugin to filter only on current category?

  • This works on version 1.2.7 if you build an archive page. The archive page holds the current category. We updated to the most current version of the plugin and now none of that works. The developer has been working on a fix for weeks. Hoping that a new version will remedy this. Otherwise, I’ll have to find a different way or plugin. I really like how it’s set up, not sure why the change that now will not show any filtering besides all products.

    Hi!

Please add a Category filter to your form, on frontend if you view a product category archive page that category will be selected by default and subsequent filters will only show products from that category.

So for example, please see: https://themify.me/demo/themes/wc-product-filter/product-category/hats/, in the sidebar you’ll see the Hats category is selected. If you apply any filters, this will only filter down the products from Hats category.

Hope this helps, and please do let us know if you encounter any issues!

This is not respecting the currently selected category.

    We have

    Category
    + Sub 1
    + Sub 2

If we view /products/category/sub-2/ and select choose a Brand filter with only Sub 2 selected it returns the Selected brand from Category.

Maybe related. It’s only showing two (2) brands as filterable even though there are five (5) brands in the category. I can’t provide a public URL for it unfortunately so not sure how to proceed.

    Thanks in advance.

@ausdamo – Do you have the logic selected as “OR” or “AND”? If you have it selected AND, it would show products that match attributes (eg. Brand) with the selected category.

AND is selected, as we want to see only that Brand in the selected Category.

It’s completely broken and doesn’t filter properly. And still only shows two out of the brands in the category to choose from.

@ausdamo – Can you post the URL where we can see the issue?

I can’t provide a public URL for it unfortunately. Can I send it to you some other way?

It seems that this plug-in may not work correctly with Divi after all.

    Hi @ausdamo ,

Thank you! We will check it and will reply you as soon as possible.

Hello @ausdamo @hootywampus was there any fix for this?
I am having the same trouble now. The filter when set up with Divi shop, shows all products NOT just the products within that category archive.

    Hi @adrenalinegirl

Please post a link to your page where you see this issue with the Product Filter, so we can check.

I updated the URL of the product category links to include the filtering of each category as the plugin dev never provided a good fix for the situation and I wanted the plugin updated. The plugin was also updated again to include more primary filtering so I changed the URLs again to work around the situation.

    ?id=primary_product_filter&wpf=primary_product_filter&wpf_cols=4&wpf_page=1&wpf_wpf_cat=your_category_here

Thank you for sharing your solution. Using the correct Filter URLs should work, but to use the correct URL first you have to actually select all filter items in the Product Filter, then copy the URL, this way you can make sure the Filter URL is correct, as we do make changes in our Plugin Updates it is recommended to check after every update if you’re using filter URLs in your menu.
