Filter product – I have a problem

Core WooCommerce doesn’t come with the product filter feature. It’s added by either your theme or plugin – e.g. I see that https://cfpdemo.altervista.org uses the Themify plugin. We recommend getting in touch with the plugin developer for further support.

OK, can you please check the query type setting?

AND – If a user selects two attributes, only products which match both attributes will be returned
OR – If a user selects two attributes, products which match either attribute will be returned

I have a feeling your current setting is OR. If that’s the case, can you try AND to see if it works the way you prefer?

OK, I did further research on how the core filtering feature works, and found out that, core WooCommerce display variable products as a whole and not as separate variations – when certain attributes are selected, the search result displays the whole product including variations which do not have the attributes you’re searching for.
You may want to consider using a plugin like Products By Attributes & Variations for WooCommerce to achieve your requirements.
