I have not seen the ‘filter_content_match_protocols’ output buffer handler before. It looks like it might be part of the Meta Slider plugin. Try disabling that plugin if you have it and see if that message goes away. It may not be malicious but custom output buffer handlers mess with the content that your site buts out and can also make the scan process take a long time or appear to hang.
Let me know if you need more help.

Im going to need more help because I aint using the Meta Slider plugin.

When I google it I get a lot of generic examples of writing your own filter_content_match_protocols function to replace content on your site. You can try searching your theme and plugin files for that function, it might be easier if you download your site or use grep if you can ssh into your server.
Let me know how I can help.

I tried that before I posted here…

is this filter_content_match_protocols actually interfering with the scan or causing any other side effects that you can see? Maybe it’s not even an issue. Is there infections on your site that you can see on the front end?
“is this filter_content_match_protocols actually interfering with the scan or causing any other side effects that you can see?“
I know it says “Got Stuck/Re-Got Stuck Scanning/Re-Scanning [insert file here]“.
“Maybe it’s not even an issue. Is there infections on your site that you can see on the front end?“
I hope not…That I know of: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function of_get_option() in /home/wp_urnhvf/vanndigital.com/wp-content/themes/portfolio-press/archive-portfolio.php on line 45”

So it looks like there is an error in your theme. Can you try to re-install the theme or change to a different theme to fix that error?
As for that “Got Stuck Scanning” stuff, how long does the scan run before it gets stuck? does it always get stuck in the same folder? Maybe you have a recursive symlink or a huge directory with thousands of sub-directories. You could also try setting the Scan Depth to a positive number like 6 or 8 and see if it still gets stuck.

I can try…

Yes it gets stuck in the same folder…I will try that as well…

How did that work out for you?
Were you able to finish a Complete Scan?
Please post a follow-up so that others might see how you resolved the issues you had (or at lease mark this topic resolved if you got it working). You can always contact me directly if you need more help: eli AT gotmls DOT net

I’m sorry to hear that.
I guess changing those setting did not solve this issue for you?
If you ever change your mind and want to try my plugin again just let me know and I would be happy to help you figure out why it was getting stuck on that folder.
