Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!
Regards,
Tobias
Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
The reason for this could be that you are using two plugins that use the DataTables JS library.
Could you therefore please deactivate the Ultimate Tables plugin to rule out any interference?
Regards,
Tobias
Okay! I just deleted that plugin. I had the problem before I installed that plugin. I appreciate your help!
Hi,
ok, that’s not it then.
I dug a little bit deeper, and as it seems, something on your site (another plugin or the theme) is loading an old version of the jQuery JS library. From what I can see, its the S3FlowShield plugin. Can you try deactivating that?
Regards,
Tobias
Okay…if I deactivate do you know if the settings remain once I activate it again?
If they won’t, I just need to make sure with my boss that he has the information he needs to recreate this.
Thank you!
I just checked, and that plugin is needed to host video through Amazon on our website.
We are going to create a new website, and I will use the plugin on that.
I appreciate all of your help!
Lauren
Hi Lauren,
no, sorry, I don’t know how that plugin works and if its setting are kept 🙁
In that case, you should maybe check with that plugin’s developers and ask them to fix their plugin so that it doesn’t load an old and outdated version of jQuery. That’s just bad.
It will not only affect TablePress as it already does, but it will also be the source for similar JavaScript problems in the future.
Regards,
Tobias
Thanks for the advice…I’m going to do that now!
Hi,
no problem, you are very welcome! 🙂 I hope it helps!
Best wishes,
Tobias
