filters do not work

Hi,

I tried two filters:

– [pgaf_post_grid cat_id=”News”]
– [pgaf_post_grid cat_id=”News” show_author=”false”]

In first case there also other categories will be shown and in the second case the authors will not be hidden.

I use a third party theme but I also tried it with WordPress twenty theme – same problems.

Why do the filters not working?

Hello @dieseldriver

Please use category ID instead of category name or slug

[pgaf_post_grid cat_id="2"]
Where say 2 is category id of news

[pgaf_post_grid cat_id="2" show_author="false"]
Where say 2 is category id of news

How can I find out the right cat_id for the my categories (only in database)?

And why does the parameter show_author=”false” not work for me?

Hello @dieseldriver

Please go to Posts –> Category and click on any category in edit mode. You can see category ID in the address bar : http://prntscr.com/txoo79

Regarding the show_author parameter please write manually shortcode parameter and its value. show_author="false"

Ok thanks, then my ID was the right one. But I always gets any posts from all categories returned. 🙁

I also tried to write it manually (also the whole shortcode). It does not solve the problem. 🙁

It’s solved – stupid GUI editor (the ” was strored in wrong way) 😉
