its seen that for AJAX driven content this plugin does not function as expected. Has anyone encountered this problem. If YES, then has anyone found a fix for this issue?

This plugin can only replace HTML that is created during the initial creation of the page by the WordPress engine. It’s not intended to work with AJAX so I wouldn’t say this is behavior is a bug.
