• I received a report from my hosting that there is higher traffic than normal on my website.

The traffic comes from the own site ip: 23472 hits the last 24 hours.

This is caused by a self-referring script. How can I locate this script what is causing the issue and fix the problem?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

How do you know there’s a “self-referring script” without knowing the script in question?

If your host told you there’s a “self-referring script” ask them what this script is. I don’t see how they can know there’s a “self-referring script” without knowing the actual script.

They are not so clear about it but what I found in the access logs is that alot of the own site ip request is this:

    http://www.revive.nl – [27/Jan/2023:14:02:31 +0000] “GET /wp-content/uploads/2022/08/278100283_527272238919805_5018626262017406144_n-1.jpg HTTP/1.1” 200 30742 “-” “-” | TLSv1.3 | – – 0.000 HIT 0 NC:000000 UP:

It is request for the favicon url

How can I remove this request?
