firestats filtering dynamic ip

I’ve just installed the ‘within wordpress’ version of firestats. I have a dynamic ip and I want to block an ip range. I’ve tried using various wildcards (*) whilst defining the first two sets of numbers, but firestats doesn’t seem to do this. Any ideas?
