    Hi,

Although everything else seems to work fine, I’m getting the following error in the firewall tabs (my CloudProxy API key is entered correctly):

Sucuri: Something went wrong with an API call (show_settings action): error:0D0890A1:asn1 encoding routines:func(137):reason(161)

Sucuri: Something went wrong with an API call (audit_trails action): error:0D0890A1:asn1 encoding routines:func(137):reason(161)

    Regards,
    Lee

  • Interesting, this is the first time I see something like that, but this is nothing related directly with the code of the plugin, this is an error that is tied to the SSL library installed in the server where your website is being hosted.

If you search part of the text shown in that message, for example “encoding routines:func” you will find a big list of tickets in the WordPress forums reporting something similar in other plugins and themes, but also a big list of reports in other IT websites like StackOverflow.

The best solution would be to contact your hosting provider and mention this issue to them because they are the only ones that could upgrade and/or patch the error with the SSL library installed in that server. If you do not want to contact them, or want to have a quick solution then you can disable the SSL certificate validation for the HTTP requests executed by the plugin, you can do this from the plugin’ settings page through an option named “API request with SSL”.

Now that was an impressively thorough and knowledgeable answer – you guys certainly are pros!

I tried your quick fix and it worked. I am having the problem you mention elsewhere too, although I thought it was due to my browser being out of date (I will be updating my system next week). I guess I’ll have to check into this SSL library possibility too.

Thanks for a sensational product! (I’ve already given you guys a five star review.)
