Firewall Log question

Per a previous thread, you alerted me to the potential issues with XML-RPC-API. Now, I see from the firewall log that regular attempts are made to access this file. My question is, does the log just show attempts at the file, or does the log show blocked attempts at the file? (I’m assuming the 2nd, but I’ve found that making assumptions isn’t always a good thing!)
