Firmness Theme – Nav Bar
-
Hi,
im trying to add a link to the default nav bar, but i cant see a way of doing it. The only way i can see possible is to create my own menu ( via dash board ) and then setting that menu as the primary menu , however if i do that , the menu does not display like the default nav bar.
Does anyone know how i can either add a link to the default nav bar or know how can get my nav to display like the default bar ?
Thank you
jon

What exactly do you mean that using a custom menu doesn’t look like the default menu? The colors and font appear to be the same when I switch back & forth between the default menu & my custom menu. Is it the appearance or content that’s different?
Hi , the colour and font stay the same but the positioning changes, instead of being centered it goes to the left.
What im trying to do is just put a link in the nav bar to my forum ( all hosted together ) am i able to just use the default nav bar , create a new page and then either direct that page to the forum or can i embed the forum into a new WP page?
What I would do is use a custom menu, only because that allows you to add or remove whatever menu items that you want, plus you can rearrange the order of the menu items, as well as add sub-menu items. Then it would be easy to add a custom link to your forum page.
What you can do is post a link to your site (with the current default menu), I can see what CSS is being used to center your menu items, then you can switch over to a custom menu, and I can post the CSS that you need to center align your menu. If you are running the latest version of WordPress (4.7), then you will have an option under Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS where you can add your own CSS.
