The first item in the menu is always underlined, regardless of whether I am actually on that page or not. Here’s a video of this happening on a brand new site with just Eksell and no active plugins:

EDIT: doesn’t seem to happen on mobile, if that’s any help. 🙂

    Hi @adamkheckler,

Yeah, the focus gets moved to the first menu item in the menu modal when the modal is active to simplify keyboard navigation. The focus style for the main menu currently is to underline the focused menu link, so when the menu modal is opened, the first menu item is always underlined. I agree that this is confusing – especially since the styling for the currently active menu item (the page viewed) is also to underline the text. Actually, when putting it in writing like this, it sounds downright stupid.

I’ll adjust this behavior in a future update (probably today) so the focus style is more clear. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi again @adamkheckler,

I’ve updated this in version 1.7.1 (available now) to make the focus/active distinction more clear.
