First Name & Last Name Fields

    Thanks for this excellent plugin. Am using it with BuddyPress+Woocommerce.

    My issue is with the First Name & Last Name Fields. They get added on the woocommerce register form in /my-account/

    Even if the user puts in his first name and last name to register in /my-account/ page then at the backend the first name and last name fields are blank. in short not written/synced in the database.

    I did try the solution which you have mentioned that is Disable Registration Spam Shield. But once i do that i get bots registering on the site. so this is a certain no go.

    any way to hide the First Name & Last Name Fields in the front end? as far as i read your posts on this issue you cant remove this but can this 2 fields be hidden in front end?

    I’ve addressed this question several times previously. So as not to repeat the same info again, please see my explanation on any of these threads:

    The First Name and Last Name fields do get registered in the database, so if that’s not happening for you, then you have a separate issue.

    Excellent support…thanks for it..highly appreciated. Yes i did read those 2 threads couple of times to figure it out. Read other posts as well. People including me are looking for a solution other then Disable Registration Spam Shield option cause then bots starts registering on the site.

    Anyways for anybody else looking for a fix for this edit wp-spamshield.php and remove all the instances of First Name & Last Name and then first name and last name doesnt turn up on the front end.

    You’re very welcome.

    Actually, editing the wp-spamshield.php file is going to break things, so you’re not going to want to do that. We don’t recommend or provide support for hacking the plugin.

    As mentioned in the other threads, the First Name and Last Name fields are an integrated part of the spam protection, so disabling those would disable the spam protection. (I won’t explain that part again, but for anyone interested please see the other threads.)
