Hi there, I just tried to finish the First Time Configuration, however I ended up with an error message in step one (SEO DATA OPTIMIZATION) so I can’t finish the process.

I’ve tried this like 5 times now, but I keep ending up with the same error code.

The error message contains a 503 error. Does anyone have experience with this type of error and knows how to fix it?

I couldn’t find an explanation in the help section about this specific error, but normally this issue has to do with page speed as far as I’m aware. However, I recently switched to a faster host and am now in the process of moving to a superfast WordPress template too (Feast plugin in combination with Foodie Pro theme).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @culisandra

I am sorry you couldn’t complete the Yoast SEO data optimization analysis. Please provide us with screenshots that highlight the 503 error. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

PS: I just updated WordPress, theme and all my plugins to the most recent versions and tried again, but still no luck.

Hello Sandra, a 503 Service Unavailable error is related to your server being unable to handle the request. But try these suggestions first:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

Please let us know if the reported issue remains after resetting the optimized data.
