fixed background code don't work?

    Hello

    I want a fixed image background to my page, but there is no way that the image is fixed. I put this code:

    body { background:#f6f6f6 url(images/patterns/pattern12.png) no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; font-family:Arial; font-size:12px; }

    I have made a mistake?
