Flawless

I’ve used many plugins to achieve custom fields, meta boxes, and options pages in the past, such as: Vafpress, WCK Pro, and Options Framework.

With the new one time/unlimited sites payment system, it was an easy choice to give ACF Pro a try.

And it was totally worth it.

This plugin can do it all. Repeater fields, tabs, galleries, reordering… And you can use it as an options menu if you have Pro (for site-wide variables).

It’s fantastic. Very easy to work with, you don’t even need to be an experienced programmer to get it set up. But if you are a developer, it’s even more powerful as it can properly format values – or return the raw value.

All the data can still be accessed as regular post meta fields. And if you want to do some advanced processing on the data, you can just hook into save_post with a priority of 20 and access the recently updated values. It’s great for doing a lat/long lookup from an address. Although there’s a google map field anyway, so that wasn’t even necessary!
