• Hi … i’ve used a free wordpress theme for a new website i’m building http://www.milkk.com.au i like the theme, it’s clean and perfect for what i’m doing.

I’m trying to add a Flickr feed into the site on the RH sidebar but I don’t seem to be able to authorise the WordPress account.

Does anyone have any idea’s about what I might be doing wrong?

When I go into Flickr to enable sharing with WordPress it asks me for the API endpoint and says it should look something like this:

    http://your-blog.url/xmlrpc.php

    When I type in:

    http://milkk.com.au/xmlrpc.php

and then put in my WordPress Username and Password it tells me the API endpoint is wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I wanted to run the Flickr account as a sideshow to the right in the Sidebar.

  • hi, try this code in your sidebar within a text widget
    <iframe align=”center” src=”http://www.flickr.com/slideShow/index.gne?
    user_id=12345678@N00&tags=YOUR_TAGS” frameBorder=”0″ “width=500″ height=”500″ scrolling=”yes”></iframe>

replace the user_id (“12345678@N00”) with your own–in case you don’t know what yours is,http://idgettr.com/ will tell you–and YOUR_TAGS with whatever tags you want in the slideshow.

Ok – that’s great and it has done something! But I don’t understand the ‘YOUR_TAGS’ bit … can you explain that bit to me please?

Ok – scrap that last bit … I think I have figured that bit out … can you have a look at my slideshow for me though please:

I’m not sure why all the jargon is showing up – how do i make it look tidy and the right size?

    Thank you SO MUCH !!!

    🙂

    ok follow the steps:
    1) log in to your flickr account
    2) click on >>Your Photostream
    3) choose/click over the photo u want to stream
    4) note: on right side there is an option to add Tags (add a tag) ,enter the tag u like e.g:MilkkPR
    5) repeat this step for every photo u want to stream
